The State Bank of India (SBI) is conducting a major recruitment drive for Junior Associates (Clerical Cadre) in 2024. Eligibility Criteria

  1. Educational Qualification:

    • Candidates must hold a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
    • Final-year students may apply, provided they submit proof of graduation by 31st December 2024.
  2. Age Limit:

    • Minimum: 20 years
    • Maximum: 28 years (as of 1st April 2024).
    • Relaxation in upper age limit is available as per government norms for SC, ST, OBC, PwBD, and other categories.
  3. Local Language Proficiency:

    • Candidates applying for positions in specific regions (e.g., Ladakh) must be proficient in the region's local language (e.g., Urdu, Ladakhi, or Bhoti).
    • Proof of language proficiency is required, either via academic certificates (10th/12th standard) or through a Language Proficiency Test.

Selection Process

The recruitment process includes three main stages:

  1. Preliminary Examination:

    • Duration: 1 hour
    • Objective-type questions.
    • Sections:
      • English Language (30 questions, 30 marks)
      • Numerical Ability (35 questions, 35 marks)
      • Reasoning Ability (35 questions, 35 marks)
    • Total: 100 questions, 100 marks.
    • Qualifying Nature: Marks in this stage are not counted for the final merit list.
  2. Main Examination:

    • Duration: 2 hours 40 minutes
    • Objective-type questions.
    • Sections:
      • General/Financial Awareness (50 marks)
      • General English (40 marks)
      • Quantitative Aptitude (50 marks)
      • Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude (60 marks)
    • Total: 200 marks.
  3. Language Proficiency Test (if required):

    • Candidates not possessing proof of local language proficiency will need to pass a test in the specified language.
